Discipleship Academy
The Lighthouse Rescue Mission's Men's and Women's Discipleship Academy focuses on spiritual healing, how to live a thriving livelihood, and economic viability.
Our Discipleship Academy is a 12-month course focused on God, Work and Right-living. This program is an intensive all-expenses paid path to a new life that is filled with praises to Jesus, who is able and willing to transform their past.
People who have lived on the street, with or without drugs, are familiar with programs: Recovery programs, mental health programs, social services programs and the like. It is actually a stigma to many people, when the reality is that they needed hope and a loving community to leave the streets.
We are intentional in our wording of "Academy". We want and encourage lifelong learning about the reasons we have faith, how to love our neighbor, and why we work... It is academic in approach and practical in execution, an Academy!
